Jounce and Rebound Stops Dialog

The Jounce and Rebound stop properties for the selected wheel location are displayed and edited using this dialog box. The dialog title identifies the current axle and side.

Separate stop data are stored for jounce and for rebound; the two radio buttons at the top select which stop's parameters are displayed in the fields below.

Suspension Stop

Jounce (Compression) Selects the jounce (compression travel limit) stop for display and editing.

Rebound (Extension) Selects the rebound (extension travel limit) stop for display and editing.

Stop Parameters

Max Deflection to Jounce Stop / Max Deflection to Rebound Stop (in) Suspension travel distance from equilibrium to the selected stop. The field label changes with the selected stop; jounce deflections are entered as negative values (compression) and rebound deflections as positive values (extension).

Linear Deflection Rate of Stop (lb/in) Linear constant (force per unit of wheel travel) of the selected suspension stop.

Cubic Deflection Rate of Stop (lb/in³) Cubic constant (force per unit of wheel travel cubed) of the selected suspension stop.

Energy Ratio of Stop (%/100) Ratio of conserved to total energy (restitution) of the selected suspension stop, between 0 and 1.
