Notes on this edition¶
- The Tutorial's video lesson (Lesson 4) has been updated to the current file-based AVI recording workflow; tape-deck steps are flagged as legacy. See also Section Nine — Video Output.
- Appendix I's installation/licensing procedures describe the 2006-era CD-ROM and parallel-port EDKEY distribution and are retained as legacy reference; the HVE file system tables have been checked against the file locations used by the current version of HVE.
- Appendix IV's Environment Units table contained several descriptions mis-copied from the Engine table in the original printing; these have been corrected.
- The original page-number index (Appendix X) is replaced by a topic-to-chapter table, since page numbers do not apply to the Markdown edition.
